A Busy Week

The past week has been a fun and busy week. Thursday Taylor had his last day of preschool. He is now officially a Kindergartener! Yikes! I am not ready for that, but I know he is.

Thursday afternoon while the babies were napping Taylor and I made homemade doggie treats for Gromit as it was his 9th birthday. After supper we had is birthday celebration and it seems the homemade treats were a hit.

Our weed less garden (We will see how long that lasts.)

On Sunday Taylor and I finally got our garden planted. In the evening we had a surprise visitor in our front yard, a painted turtle. She must have liked our yard and felt it was a great place for a nest as she dug a hole and laid 9 eggs! The kids were even able to watch the turtle lay the eggs and cover the hole. Now we need to wait 72-80 days to see if the baby turtles will hatch. It was a pretty cool thing for all of us to see!

Yesterday Taylor took his third Tae Kwon Do test and earned his yellow stripe. We are so proud of him.

As you can read, it has been a busy but exciting week at our house. We are looking forward to getting into a summer schedule and enjoying some summer fun! Look out June here we come!

Garage Sale

It’s that time of the year again for a garage sale and we have accumulated plenty of things this winter. I have boys and girls clothes sizes 3months – 2T, an infant girl car seat (hardly used), swing set, winter coats and boots, and tons more. Some friends are bringing their kids clothes as well, so there will be some bigger sizes too. Sorry I don’t really know what sizes those will be though. Please feel free to stop by or spread the word to anyone you may know that is in our area. I will be happy to help them out!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Mother’s Day!

A few days late, but Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms out there! I hope yours was as enjoyable as mine. We spent most of the day outside and enjoyed a great dinner on the deck. It can’t get much better than that for me.

The Daucsavage’s Big Adventure!

On Saturday the Daucsavage Family decided to make a “spur” of the moment trip to Minneapolis. Spur is in quotes because spur of the moment has a completely different vibe for a family with quadruplets! Trevor had something to do for a friend in the cities so we all decided to tag along. After we were done doing what Trevor needed to do, we went to the Como Zoo and the kids had a blast. We were only at the zoo for an hour or so, but it was just right for the little ones. I took lots of pictures to document our Big Adventure, so enjoy!

Oliver’s New Look

A few weeks ago we took Oliver to the eye doctor and found out he is far sighted just like his mommy. His glasses arrived yesterday and we think he is the cutest two-year-old with glasses. He loves them so far, he keeps them on, cries when we take them off for nap and bed, and his brothers and sister have left them alone so far. We hope this continues.

Who wouldn’t think this is the cutest two-year-old with glasses? (I know we are a little biased, but shouldn’t all parents be? Smile)

Little Free Library

I am not sure if I have mentioned this in any of our blogs before, but we live in the best neighborhood around!

* A golf course across the street for Trevor. (Which he has been using a lot this year, I might add.)

* Gromit can run free on his walks and no worries.

* Lots of boys Taylor’s age and younger live in the neighborhood.

* A neighborhood book club started the beginning of the year.

* Our neighbors all chipped in to purchase our quad stroller which gets used twice a day now.

* Many of the neighbors have helped us with the babies in the past two years.

* Taylor’s best buddy Noah lives five houses down.

* And now we have our own library right in our neighborhood. All five of my kids love stopping at the Little Free Library around the corner and borrowing books each time. It is such a wonderful idea, you can borrow a book, or donate a book and it is just a little walk away.
