Happy Birthday Gardner Quads!

quad party 016

Finn, Max, Beck, and Stella

Yesterday we got to visit our friends with Quads and celebrate their 1st Birthday. They had a wonderful party at a park near their home and many of their family and friends were there for this wonderful day. We are looking forward to the day all of our kids can play together. CRAZY!

All thirteen of us!

After the party we continued our adventure … We took the kids to eat at Hardee’s (the first time Trevor and I have taken all five kids out to eat) and then we stopped at SAMS Club. I am sure we will be making more and more visits to SAMS Club now.

It was a great way to spend our Saturday; celebrating four beautiful babies, spending time together as a family, and getting out. It almost makes us feel “normal”.

First Bus Ride

Taylor rode the bus for the first time today. He seemed to be much more excited about school today. Noah will be getting on the bus at our house everyday, so this helped make it a much easier thing to do this morning.

Here are the few little things I got from his first bus ride:

  • Four Kindergarten Boys can sit in one bus seat.
  • It was loud.
  • They got a little worried and confused when the bus stopped at the middle school first, but Taylor told them this wasn’t their school, so don’t get off yet.
  • “I will ride the bus again tomorrow Mom.”

The whole family couldn’t miss this big event!

I love this picture. Look how close they are standing. At least they have each other to keep company and keep their nerves down.

Day 2: Ready or not there they go!

Happy School Year everyone!

First Day of School

Taylor started Kindergarten today! It was strangely quiet and lonely at home despite the fact that I was with four two-year-olds all day. Thankfully there were no tears from Taylor, just Mom and Dad after he walked into school with his buddy Noah.

The entire family dropped Taylor off at school today. Tomorrow Taylor will ride the bus to school for the first time.

ASOM waiting and watching for Taylor to come home. (Noah’s Dad brought Taylor home today. Tomorrow we get to go pick up Taylor and Noah.)

The homemade Chocolate, Chocolate Chip Cookies I made for Taylor’s after school snack today. Have I ever told you I love being a stay at home Mom?

Here’s what I could get out of Taylor’s first day of school:

  • The first question Taylor asked me this morning when I was getting him up was “How many days until Friday night?” (I hope this isn’t a sign of how long our school year or the next thirteen years are going to be.)
  • He like playtime outside the best.
  • He didn’t make a girlfriend. (Thanks Corey (Noah’s Dad) for asking this question.)
  • They read Look out Kindergarten, Here I Come except one page was different from our book. The part that talked about Kindergarten Round Up in our Book was Open House in the Teacher’s Book.
  • They started reading a Magic Tree House Book.
  • He had Chocolate Milk for Lunch.
  • One of our helpers that used to come when the babies were little was working there, but he will have to get her name tomorrow.
  • He went to Art Class.
  • He was way too hot in the two shirts he wore today, so he is never wearing that again! Hopefully he will change his mind when it cools off a little.
  • He was EXHAUSTED when he got home.

I think that sums it up. Sounds like a pretty good day. I hope tomorrow is just as good or even better.
